Assistant Accountant- SkyMetrix

Position Summary

As Assistant Accountant, you will support the Flight Operations Accounting & Controls team by delivering accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and valuable insight across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Check, analyse and process invoices through the SkyMetrix system, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Investigate variances between invoices and accruals.
• Ensure postings adhere to accounting standards and internal controls.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Build effective cross‑functional relationships across the business.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication of financial information to a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with SkyMetrix or AirPas is essential.

Practicalities

Full‑time, 6‑month fixed‑term contract based in Luton, 40 hours per week. Hybrid working is supported with approximately 60% of the time spent in the office.
