Roles and Responsibilities

You will be working within the Economic Development and Programmes Team. The team is responsible for the effective delivery of key economic and sustainability programmes, including Economic Growth, Healthy Communities, Climate Change & Sustainability and Social & Economic Inclusion. The role involves monitoring, preparing claims, research, production of reports, funding applications, arranging reimbursements and supporting the promotion and delivery of activities by engaging with public stakeholders, businesses, residents, departments and partner agencies.

The post is office based at District Council Offices, Mill Lane, Wingerworth with potential for hybrid working subject to operational requirements. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for attendance at partner meetings across the County.

Qualifications and Skills

  • IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, e‑mail and the Internet
  • Interpersonal skills, able to explain complex information in an accessible way
  • Experience of devising, implementing, monitoring and evaluating administrative systems
  • Ability to engage with a range of businesses, organisations and local residents, patiently empathising with their needs in an approachable and flexible manner
