Job Summary
You will carry out general repairs to properties and communal areas as directed by your supervisor, including repairs and cleaning in both occupied and empty properties, while recording work activities. You’ll assist with the installation of components such as boilers, kitchens, and bathrooms, and participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call repairs service. You’ll conduct validation checks to ensure safety, assist with the delivery of materials and equipment, and manage waste removal safely. You’ll advise on actions needed for successful first‑time repairs, highlight potential risks, and follow health and safety policies. Regular training, monitoring expenditure, and keeping accurate records will also be part of your responsibilities. You will also participate in training as required.
Basic DBS check is required.
Qualifications
- Effectively prioritise a diverse workload and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Hold a valid driving licence.
- Reside in the MK postcode area (patch you are covering).
- Demonstrate the Group’s values personally and within your team.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and manage time well while prioritising a large, varied workload within deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Use technology effectively to improve operational performance and customer service.
- Physical fitness to perform the work and required travel.
