SEN Support Worker – Gerrads Cross, SL9
This role supports a young child with complex care needs in a family home. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, confident working within a family environment, and experienced supporting children with SEN, neurodiversity, PEG feeding and epilepsy.
Key Details
- Salary: £34,300 per annum (£19.80 per hour)
- Start date: ASAP
- Hours: 37 hours per week (average) – Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:30pm with a 10:30am–2:00pm unpaid break each day. School holiday schedule as outlined.
- Driving requirements: Essential – wheelchair accessible vehicle automatic pull on board required while on duty.
- Essential qualifications: Experience supporting a child with SEN / neurodiversity, PEG feeding and epilepsy training.
- Nearest station: Gerrads Cross, 14-minute walk to family home.
About the Client
Elsie is 8 years old, living in a fully adapted home with her family. She has cerebral palsy, is a full-time wheelchair user, has epilepsy and a PEG tube for fluid, nutrition and medication. She receives 2:1 day and night support and uses an E Trans Frame for communication.
