Job Overview

We are looking for a positive, compassionate and caring Support Worker to join our team in Burgess Hill on a part‑time, permanent basis (30 hours per week).

We support five people with learning disabilities who share a home. Two require support into the community, the other three are more independent. The role involves supporting them in their daily activities, community participation and overall wellbeing. Personal care is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to residents, enhancing their independence and quality of life.
  • Assist with community outings and activities.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with residents.
  • Work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, sleep‑ins and weekends, as required.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • A calm demeanour when required.
  • Current enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

Contract Details

Part‑time: 30 hours per week. Shift times: between 7am and 10pm. Sleep‑in shifts available, with an enhanced flat‑rate payment of £64.20.

Salary: £25,577 per annum, pro‑rata; £26,228 per annum, pro‑rata.
