Dilston College, located in Dilston, Northumberland, is an independent specialist provider of further education for young people aged 16-25 with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviours and complex needs. We offer 38‑ and 52‑week residential placements as well as day placements within a 9‑acre rural campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a model of positive behaviour support to empower young people.
- Assist in developing self‑regulation skills and greater lifetime independence.
- Support children in learning and developing life skills.
- Implement positive change to the lives of residents.
- Collaborate with dedicated teams allocated to each child.
- Maintain professional conduct at all times and demonstrate empathy and integrity.
- Work flexible rota‑based shift patterns to suit the team and workforce needs.
- Engage effectively with colleagues, tasks, and environments.

Training & Development
- Full 6‑month probationary period with dedicated mentor and line manager support.
- Free Level 3 RQF Child and Young Person’s workforce qualification during employment.
