Job Introduction

Support Worker – Residential Services – Weekend, part-time opportunity: 18–20 hours per week (pattern to be agreed). Are you passionate about helping autistic adults and those with learning disabilities achieve their desired potential? Autism Anglia, a well‑established independent charity, is looking for a Support Worker to join our team.

For this role it is essential that you have a Full UK Manual Driving License.

Salary

£12.96 per hour

Hours

Part‑time only: 18–20 hours per week (overtime and sleep‑in shifts available).

We do not offer sponsorships and candidates must have the eligibility to work in the UK.

About The Role

  • Work in partnership with the wider Residential Team to provide person‑centred, outcome‑focused support.
  • Support individuals you support in a variety of activities, including sport, leisure, cultural and recreational events, and day trips.
  • Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing and other daily routines, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
  • Assist with communication, sensory support, or psychological monitoring and interventions.
  • Drive mobility vehicles; a full UK manual licence is required.
  • Ensure all support plans, risk assessments and documentation are accurate, up‑to‑date and reflective of individual needs.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and act promptly on any concerns.

We Welcome Applications From Individuals Who

  • Have experience as a Support Worker, Carer, Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
  • Have experience working with autistic individuals, or can demonstrate a strong understanding of Autism.
  • Have a full UK driving licence.
  • Have experience providing intensive behavioural support.
  • Have strong communication skills and experience coordinating activities in the local area.
