Job Description:

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted one-to-one support tailored to the pupil’s individual learning, social, and emotional needs.
  • Build a trusting, positive, and motivational relationship to help the pupil develop confidence and make meaningful progress.
  • Collaborate proactively with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement effective behaviour support and personalised learning strategies.
  • Ensure the pupil always feels heard, understood, respected, and valued.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment where all learners can succeed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or in a similar support role.
  • Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to behaviour, wellbeing, and learning.
  • Strong commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality child-centred support.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff and families.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK; sponsorship or Skilled Worker visas are not offered.
  • Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
  • Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • If you do not have a Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70, which will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
