Dorset Council is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our North Dorset Youth Work Team. This is a Grade 8 role, however there is the option to join at Grade 5 through our Level 3 Youth Work Apprenticeship if you’re new to the profession.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver targeted youth work to vulnerable young people
- 1:1, group, detached and outreach work across North Dorset
- Be a strong advocate for young people
- Work alongside schools, social workers, police and partner agencies
- Complete a Level 3 Youth Work Apprenticeship (if required)
- Work under an extrafamilial harm lens
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people or in a caring role (paid or voluntary)
- Strong communication skills and a non‑judgemental approach
- Motivation, resilience and a willingness to learn
- GCSE Math & English (or willingness to work towards)
