About the Role

Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers needed to support both children and adults with complex needs. The role involves caring for a young boy with complex needs including PEG feeding and diabetes management. Hours: Weekdays and Weekends 7am‑4pm. Pay: £12.71 – £14.29 per hour.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Moving & handling and repositioning
  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Community access through wheelchair‑accessible vehicle – driver required
  • Companionship and emotional support

Key Responsibilities (All Roles)

  • Deliver compassionate, person‑centred care in line with care plans
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
  • Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate care documentation
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and families
  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications

  • Caring nature and genuine desire to help others
  • Minimum 6 months care experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of epilepsy & challenging behaviour (preferred)
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable approach
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Basic IT skills for documentation
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
