They are looking to add to their NPD team with someone from a relevant Food/Nutritional Science or Food Design Degree, training them in factory trials, specifications, development tracking, shelf‑life analysis, raw material management and sensory evaluation. This is a great opportunity for a foodie who wants to be proud of the products they help develop for major supermarkets across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Supporting product development from concept through to launch, ensuring feasibility, cost efficiency, and alignment to briefs.
- Creating, testing, and refining product samples, capturing data, conducting analysis, and supporting continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborating cross‑functionally (technical, operations, commercial, supply chain) to deliver successful product launches.
- Managing trials, documentation, and compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quality, and safety standards.
- Tracking project progress, communicating updates to stakeholders, and managing timelines while identifying opportunities for innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant Food or Nutritional Sciences Degree.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment highly advantageous.
- Passion for self‑development and eagerness to continuously learn on the job.
- Confident and excellent communication skills; comfortable working with various teams and communicating with stakeholders at all levels both inside and outside the business.
- Full right‑to‑work in the UK.
