About the role

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

Hours: minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; flexibility for 12‑hour shifts is available.

Availability windows for shifts (example hours):

  • Mon 18:00 – 00:30
  • Thu 18:00 – 00:30
  • Fri 18:00 – 00:30
  • Sat 18:00 – 00:30

We schedule your contracted hours within these windows and inform you at least 3 weeks in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events.
  • Understand your store’s performance and contribute to service and sales.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality.
  • Live our values and make everyone feel welcome.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
