Responsibilities
- Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
- Assuming Night Manager tasks, as required, when the Night Manager is dealing with priorities on shift
- Arranging collection, delivery and storage of guest luggage, ordering and delivering newspapers and maintaining the cleanliness of public areas during the night
- Providing general security in the Hotel and carrying security backup procedures, as requested and informing the Night Manager of issues to ensure that they are dealt with effectively
- Cashing up procedures
- Following the check-in and check-out policy procedures for guests arriving late or departing early
- Answering the phone during the night, collecting breakfast orders and providing lounge and room service, charging as appropriate to guest accounts
- Ensuring the restaurant is set up and prepared for Breakfast
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality hotel
- Experience of night shift
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of using a Front Office Management System, e.g., Opera
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, depending on the needs of the business
