Responsibilities
The position involves delivering and supporting all Moving & Handling training across the NHS Foundation Trust, offering assistance to other areas within the Learning and Development portfolio, and contributing to the development of training materials. Key duties include planning, delivering, and evaluating a range of accredited and bespoke training interventions across the Moving & Handling portfolio and wider Learning and Development programs, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring all interventions meet Trust standards and accreditation requirements. The role also requires supporting workplace assessments, progressing toward accreditation with the National Back Exchange as a workplace assessor, and contributing to quality assurance of training provision. Additionally, duties include liaising with services to identify training needs, providing guidance to colleagues involved in training delivery, and ensuring training environments and equipment are safe and fit for purpose. The post holder will work both autonomously and under indirect guidance from the Lead L&D Facilitator, supporting the effective delivery of portfolios and contributing to continuous improvement across Learning and Development.
