Senior Java Software Engineer

I’m currently partnered with a fast-growing fintech business that is looking to make a key senior engineering hire as they continue scaling their platform and technology function.

This isn’t just another Senior Java Developer position.

The Role

• Design and develop scalable backend applications and microservices
• Help drive technical architecture and engineering best practices
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and product teams
• Contribute to platform scalability, performance, and reliability
• Mentor developers and help shape future team growth
• Play a key role in the long-term engineering strategy of the business
• Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• REST APIs
• Maven & Git
• Strong focus on clean code, scalability, and modern software engineering principles

What They’re Looking For

• Experience building enterprise‑grade backend systems
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices
• Financial services, fintech, trading, or regulated industry experience!
• Someone who enjoys ownership and wants to progress into leadership
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• 3‑days in office, hybrid working
