Responsibilities
- Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
- Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
- Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
- Provide day‑to‑day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
- Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
Qualifications and Experience
As a Senior Staff Nurse at our hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post‑registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi‑specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital is recognised for expert clinical care, expertise and friendly atmosphere. The hospital has 39 bedrooms, 3 theatres, 1 minor treatment facility and a busy outpatient department. We also provide physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. The hospital is located on Clayton Road, off the A519, and offers free parking for staff.
