Technical Writer

Job Location: Wilmslow, UK- Work from Office

Job Mode: Contract

We are hiring for a 12-month contract role (fully onsite-Work from office). The position sits within a global technology environment and focuses on developing clear, structured documentation for hardware and technology products.

Responsibilities

• Creating accurate, concise technical documentation for a global audience
• Working closely with engineers, product teams, and project stakeholders to gather and validate technical inputs
• Translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly content
• Managing documentation deliverables in line with project timelines
• Following structured authoring processes and established tool guidelines
• Collaborating across Engineering, Informatics, Product Marketing, Service, and Project Management teams

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing experience within hardware or technology-driven environments
• Experience with structured authoring and information modelling such as DITA and XML
• Exposure to content management systems
• Familiarity with HTML, XML, and tools like JIRA
• Understanding of localisation workflows and style guides such as The Chicago Manual of Style
• Experience working in agile environments with recurring release cycles
