Security Officer

Overview

Location: Newark, UK

Pay: £12.71 per hour (Overtime Available)

Hours: Saturday and Sunday Day Shift & Monday and Tuesday Night Shift – 42 hours per week.

Grade: Site Based

Join Securitas as a Security Officer. Protect people and property, engage in searches, emergency response, and customer service. Opportunity for training, flexibility, and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Active patrols to detect and deter suspicious activity
• Conduct detailed searches following company policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork related to security incidents and observations
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and external authorities to report incidents and coordinate responses to security issues
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence
• Driving licence or good transport links
• Physical fitness for patrolling the site
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
• Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
