As an SEN Teacher at Penny Tree School, you’ll deliver creative, engaging and highly personalised learning experiences that inspire pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Working with small classes and supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor learning to individual needs, celebrate every success and help pupils overcome barriers to learning. You’ll create an environment where pupils feel safe, understood and motivated to achieve their goals while developing the confidence, independence and life skills they need for the future. What You’ll Be Doing: Planning and delivering engaging lessons for individuals and small groups Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress and achievement Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) Working closely with Learning Support Assistants and colleagues to deliver outstanding learning experiences Adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of SEN needs and learning styles Building positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals to support pupil success Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment Promoting pupil wellbeing, independence and positive outcomes at every opportunity About you We’re looking for someone who is: A qualified teacher with UK QTS or equivalent Passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for young people with SEN Creative, adaptable and able to inspire pupils through engaging teaching Experienced in supporting pupils with additional, complex or diverse learning needs Resilient, compassionate and committed to helping every pupil succeed An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment Committed to safeguarding, professional development and continuous improvement About Us Our new Options Autism school – Penny Tree – will have capacity for 60 pupils and is expected to open in the near future.
