Due to an increase in projects, a leading Engineering company based in the Lancaster area who specialise in complex equipment for the Renewables/Offshore sector are looking for a highly experienced R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to work on the full life cycle design of products.
The successful R&D Mechanical Design Engineer will have strong 3D CAD Skills as well as strong knowledge of FEA, hand calculations and first principles . You will be working closely with the Engineering Manager across multiple projects and be responsible for the design, development and testing of new and existing products.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious engineer who likes to work in a fast paced highly regulated industry where you will have the opportunity to develop and progress!
R&D Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- 3D CAD – Inventor (or similar)
- Heavy fabrication design experience
- Design calculations / FEA
- Hands on test & development
- Hydraulics (desirable)
