ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
TERM- Permanent
My client works within the building services industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Chelmsford area on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation positionPrevious experience in a similar role in a Building services or Industrial environmentBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesProficient using MS OfficeExperience with thermal structure & HVAC sizingHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
