Job Description:

Great opportunity within a well-established and growing civil and structural engineering consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join their Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior or Principal level Structural Engineer looking to take ownership of project delivery, oversee a portfolio of work, and play a key role in the continued growth and succession of the business. The company is highly active across a wide range of sectors including commercial housing, social housing, care homes, renewable energy projects (particularly wind farms), industrial and commercial developments, remediation, and emerging opportunities within the rail sector. Projects are delivered across the UK, with a strong focus on South Wales and the West of England.

As Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of your own portfolio of projects while ensuring the highest standards of engineering quality, design accuracy, and commercial performance.

You will also take responsibility for client relationships, maintaining existing frameworks while actively supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.

Lead the technical delivery of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors Ensure high standards of quality management across all commissions Oversee project commercial performance and delivery outputs Support business development and help grow new and existing client relationships Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and design teams throughout project lifecycle Around 10+ years post-graduate experience in Structural Engineering Experience taking responsibility for full project delivery Excellent understanding of structural design, detailing, and analysis Experience with structural software such as TEKLA (TSD & portal frames), SCIA, Tedds, Revit Structure, and AutoCAD advantageous Full UK driving licence required
