Industry: Online Gaming / Sports Betting

Location: London (Hybrid – includes weekends)

Salary: £37k – £42k

This is a brand-new role at an exciting boutique sports betting company. A high-end operator known for its exceptional client experience and passionate team. You’ll be joining a close-knit finance team at a pivotal moment in their growth, with real scope to make the role your own.

If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves solving problems, and wants variety in your day rather than doing the same thing on repeat, this one’s for you. The core role will take up around 60% of your time, with the rest open to grow into broader finance and compliance work based on your interests.

The Role:

  • Own the payments operation day-to-day ensuring deposits and withdrawals are processed smoothly, accurately, and at pace
  • Monitor transactions and flag anything unusual or suspicious, escalating where needed and resolving issues before they become problems
  • Run daily reconciliations between the cash processing system and the player account management system, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Work closely with customer service teams to resolve payment queries and, over time, interact directly with clients to provide that high-touch service experience the business is known for
  • Partner with the Compliance team on AML-related activity and ensure payment processes meet regulatory obligations
  • Oversee monthly management of customer credit accounts
  • Provide regular reporting on payment performance and highlight trends to senior stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline payment processes and controls

Skills Needed:

  • Experience in payments operations – online gaming is a plus but strong e-commerce payments experience also considered
  • Comfortable working with reconciliation processes and spotting discrepancies between data sources
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity to get to the bottom of things
  • Clear communicator, able to work across teams and explain things simply
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Organised and calm under pressure, able to juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Flexible approach to working – this role includes weekend working as part of a structured rota

Benefits:

  • Salary £37,000 – £42,000 DOE
  • Hybrid working – flexible setup within a high-energy office environment
  • Real career development opportunity – grow into finance, compliance, or broader business areas based on your interests
  • Work in a passionate, sports-loving team with big ambitions
  • Be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people and builds long-term career paths
  • A role with genuine variety, where no two days the same

Research indicates that men will apply to a role when they only meet 50-60% of the descriptions, however, when looking at women and other minority groups, they can look for up to a 99% match in order to apply to a role. If you feel you are a fit for our role, please still apply, don’t worry if you don’t tick every single box. We’d still love to hear from you. We encourage underrepresented talent to apply to all our roles & support accessibility needs
