We are hiring for our client, a highly successful manufacturing business based in Newry, who are seeking to appoint a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This Senior Maintenance Engineer position offers an excellent opportunity to join a modern production facility with an exceptionally clean working environment, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • The Role

    As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will:

    • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment
    • Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities to minimise downtime
    • Lead and assist with continuous improvement projects
    • Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
    • Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance
    • Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes
    • Assist with equipment upgrades and engineering projects
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

    The Person

    To be considered for this Senior Maintenance Engineer role, you should have:

    • Previous experience within a maintenance engineering environment
    • Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
    • Experience working within a manufacturing or production setting
    • A proactive approach to problem solving
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Relevant engineering qualifications, desirable
