Under the strategic guidance of a renowned consultant chef, this is a rare opportunity to be part of a bold culinary evolution within a luxury hotel environment. As a Tandoor Chef, you will be at the heart of this direction, leading one of the most critical elements of the kitchen; bringing authenticity, precision, and creativity to a concept designed to stand out in Londonu2019s competitive dining scene.
This role offers the chance to shape a signature offering, develop specialist expertise, and contribute to a high-profile, ambitious repositioning of an award-recognized restaurant.
**Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:**
Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes using traditional tandoor techniques
Take ownership of the tandoor section, ensuring consistency, quality, and exceptional presentation
Prepare all mise-en-place to support efficient and seamless service
Ensure all food preparation meets brand standards, food safety, and hygiene requirements
Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to support menu development aligned with the new concept
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
Support the wider kitchen team to deliver a high-performing, cohesive service
Contribute to the training and development of colleagues where appropriate
**What are we looking for?**
Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or strong experience working with tandoor cooking techniques
A solid understanding of traditional methods, including marinades, breads, meat and seafood cookery
Experience within a high-quality or fine dining kitchen environment is highly desirable
A passion for South Asian cuisine and a genuine interest in modern, refined interpretations
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering consistently high standards
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure
