Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.Stocksbridge, Sheffield (S36)We are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operation within a well-established care home in Stocksbridge, Sheffield (S36) .This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and organised kitchen professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering high-quality meals, and making a positive difference to residents’ daily lives.The Role As Chef Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive fresh, nutritious, and well-presented meals every day.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing the kitchen team
Planning, preparing and serving meals throughout the day
Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
Producing staff rotas and ensuring adequate shift coverage
Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards
Completing all kitchen compliance and due diligence documentation
Training and supporting staff on food safety and allergen procedures
Preparing baked goods and catering for special dining requests when required
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider care team
What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a Chef Manager or senior kitchen leadership role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and kitchen compliance
Experience within care homes, healthcare catering, hospitality or a similar environment
A passion for delivering high-quality food and service
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy kitchen operation
