Description

• Manage the preparation and review of accurate financial statements and reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned to operational performance
• Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and internal controls
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team to drive high performance
• Deliver detailed financial, costing, and margin analysis, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
• Oversee standard costing models, including regular review and updates to reflect operational changes
• Analyse and report on cost variances (labour, materials, overheads), providing clear insight and challenge to operational teams
• Manage stock accounting, including valuation, provisions, reconciliations, and working closely with operations to optimise inventory levels
• Partner with manufacturing and operational teams to drive efficiencies, control costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor cash flow and working capital, including a focus on stock and supplier dynamics
• Provide clear, commercially focused insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growth

Profile

• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to costing and margin analysis
• Ambitious and motivated to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth business
• Commercially focused, with the ability to business partner effectively with operational teams
• Experience using Sage (desirable)

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000 per annum.
• 1 day option to work from home.
