Job Description:

Project Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support process improvements across invoicing, processes, reconciliations, IFRS 16 and month-end.

Client Details

Well-established, business in the Cheshire part of a wider UK group. The business operates across multiple sites and has recently been through a period of change and restructure.

They are now looking to appoint a Project Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance function with a number of key improvement initiatives.

Description

This is a hands-on, project-focused role, working closely with the finance team to strengthen processes, controls and reporting.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Reviewing and improving a highly manual invoicing process, with a view to automation
  • Process mapping and documentation across the finance function
  • Supporting IFRS 16 lease work
  • Improving balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting and improving month-end close processes
  • Balance sheet reporting processes

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Supported on finance and process improvement projects
  • Hands on approach and knows what “good looks like” in a finance function
  • Available at short notice

Job Offer

  • Circa £60,000 salary (potentially up to £65,000)
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Hybrid working – 3 days on site
  • 6-month fixed-term contract initially, possibility of long term role
