Well-established, business in the Cheshire part of a wider UK group. The business operates across multiple sites and has recently been through a period of change and restructure.
They are now looking to appoint a Project Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance function with a number of key improvement initiatives.
Description
This is a hands-on, project-focused role, working closely with the finance team to strengthen processes, controls and reporting.
Key areas of focus include:
- Reviewing and improving a highly manual invoicing process, with a view to automation
- Process mapping and documentation across the finance function
- Supporting IFRS 16 lease work
- Improving balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting and improving month-end close processes
- Balance sheet reporting processes
Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Supported on finance and process improvement projects
- Hands on approach and knows what “good looks like” in a finance function
- Available at short notice
Job Offer
- Circa £60,000 salary (potentially up to £65,000)
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Hybrid working – 3 days on site
- 6-month fixed-term contract initially, possibility of long term role
