Its the heart and soul of our active relaxation concept, made possible by the people on our team.Our Demi Chef de Partie Role:Were looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to support our Sous and Junior Sous Chefs at Another Place, The Lake. Youll bring culinary precision, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail to the team, whilst ensuring high standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation across our two restaurants.Theres the Living Space for easy lakeside eating, meeting and lounging and our Rampsbeck Restaurant, inspired by the regions produce with dishes that showcase heritage ingredients and flavours rooted in place, expressed with contemporary flair.Youll also be friendly, hardworking, and have excellent time-keeping skills that enable you to prioritize under pressure.With your culinary finesse and unwavering commitment, you’ll be an integral part of delivering extraordinary dining experiences to our guests and oversee our purchase orders, ensuring that items arriving without authorization are not received.Joining our team means being part of a community that values excellence, innovation, and kindness in everything we do.This is a full-time role working 45 hours per week.As our Demi Chef de Partie youll be:Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas.Preparing food and carrying out daily tasks as directed by our senior chefs.Coordinating tasks with our Sous Chef and Junior Chef.Setting up and preparing for service based on business needs.Monitoring production levels and checking food quality meets hygiene standards.Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard at all times.Staying up to date with menu items, recipes, and presentation guidelines.Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, reporting any issues.Checking expiry dates and ensuring proper food storage in line with regulations.Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to kitchen procedures.Maintaining knowledge of food preparation, storage, and sanitation standards.Handling and storing food correctly at appropriate temperatures.Supporting stock replenishment when needed.Assisting with all stages of food prep, storage, and service.Helping ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and back-of-house areas.Supporting and setting a positive example in the kitchen.Completing daily Risk Proof checks.The skills youll be sharing with us:Knowledgeable of ingredients, with the ability to use them in a creative wayA belief in being a team playerAbility to delegate appropriatelyExcellent time management skillsNVQ 1 Food Hygiene certificate/trainingA NVQ level 1& 2 or equivalent as a minimumAdaptability with a flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patternsA passion for excellent food and the wider food industryA team-orientated mindset and can-do attitudeAn approachable and generous guest service focusThe ability to remain calm under extreme pressureAccountability and a proactive approach to solving problemsA keen eagerness for leaning and developing new culinary skillsProfessional presentation and good personal hygieneWhat we can offer in return:A freshly supplied and laundered uniformStraight shifts over a 45-hour working weekOvertime paid at an hourly rateA relaxed, professional place to work in a beautiful location right on the shores of UllswaterExcellent career prospects in an ever-expanding organisationSpecial rates for you and your friends & family to stay at Another Place and Watergate Bay HotelTeam discounts on treatments in Swim ClubDiscounts for you and your friends & family to eat at our restaurants: at Rampsbeck, Living Space, Glasshouseand The BrackenriggTeam social events throughout the yearTeam assistance scheme a dedicated helpline for support & advice on topics from mental health through to managing your financesFrom discounted stays to training and development opportunities, we’re all about helping our team achieve their personal and professional goals.
