Employment Professional Support Lawyer – reading A leading law firm in Reading is seeking an Employment Professional Support Lawyer (PSL)/Knowledge Lawyer to join its established Employment team in Reading on a part-time (3 days per week) basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor (4 PQE) looking to transition into a non-fee earning, knowledge-focused role , or for an experienced PSL seeking greater flexibility. You will play a central role in shaping the team’s legal knowledge, training strategy and technical excellence , working closely with partners and fee earners. Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret UK employment law developments , including case law and legislation Deliver training programmes, workshops and legal updates to Solicitors and Trainees Draft and maintain precedents, templates and know-how resources Provide technical support on complex employment law queries Produce client-facing insights, articles and thought leadership content Support business development and pitch materials with technical input Drive consistency and best practice across the Employment team About You Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with strong employment law experience Ideally 4 PQE (flexible depending on background) Experience as a Professional Support Lawyer/Knowledge Lawyer OR a strong interest in moving into a PSL role Excellent drafting, training and communication skills Strong technical knowledge of employment law, HR advisory work and tribunal processes Commercial awareness and ability to translate legal developments into practical guidance Salary & Benefits Competitive salary aligned with market data £50k–£55k Part-time salary pro-rated (3 days per week) Hybrid working and flexible hours Private healthcare, pension and bonus scheme (where applicable) Clear career pathway within knowledge, training and innovation Why Apply?
