Akabo Media is one of the fastest-growing B2B events and media businesses in the UK, with a portfolio that includes IntraLogisteX, Supply Chain Excellence Awards, Logistics Manager, Road User Charging and Aurora Insights.

We organise exhibitions, conferences, awards and media products across the UK, USA, Middle East and Asia Pacific and are now preparing to launch IntraLogisteX Germany in Düsseldorf.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a pivotal moment and play a key role in helping establish a major new exhibition in one of Europe’s most important logistics markets.

The Role

We are looking for a German-speaking Sales Executive to support the growth of our exhibitions portfolio, with an initial focus on Germany and wider European markets.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with exhibitors, sponsors and industry stakeholders, generating new business opportunities and helping grow participation across our events.

This is a proactive sales role involving significant outbound activity, relationship building and new business development.

Success will be measured by revenue generation, exhibitor acquisition and commercial growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development

  • Identify and engage potential exhibitors and sponsors
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects
  • Conduct telephone, video and face-to-face sales meetings

Account Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with exhibitors and sponsors
  • Identify opportunities to increase participation across multiple events
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and account management

Market Development

  • Help build Akabo Media’s presence in Germany and Europe
  • Research target markets, competitors and potential clients
  • Develop knowledge of the logistics, warehousing, automation and supply chain sectors

Sales Performance

  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Produce regular pipeline and activity reports
  • Work closely with marketing and content teams to support commercial objectives

About YouEssential

  • Fluent German speaker (written and spoken)
  • Fluent English speaker (written and spoken)
  • Commercially minded and confident communicating with senior decision-makers
  • Strong organisational and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable making outbound sales calls and developing new business opportunities
  • Based within commuting distance of our London office

Desirable

  • Experience in exhibitions, events, media or B2B sales
  • Experience selling into German-speaking markets
  • Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, automation or supply chain sectors
