Sales & Resales Paralegal | Real Estate & Projects | London | £30,000

We’re working with a leading, Legal 500 and Chambers UK ranked law firm to find a Sales & Resales Paralegal to join their Real Estate & Projects team in London. The team sits right at the heart of the firm, with 18 partners working across a broad range of property transactions, from social housing Registered Providers and care homes through to private developers, on schemes ranging from a handful of units to thousands.

This is a great opportunity for a paralegal with solid residential property experience to take ownership of their own caseload, broaden their exposure and develop within a firm that genuinely invests in training its people.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing your own caseload of high-volume property sales, covering both shared ownership and outright sales
  • Handling assignments of leasehold properties and staircasing matters
  • Dealing with all aspects of post completion, including requisitions
  • Downloading office copies from the Land Registry and reviewing title documents
  • Setting up and maintaining online document rooms
  • Providing clients with regular progress reports and invoices
  • Managing multiple deadlines across a variety of transactions at once
  • Communicating clearly with clients and third parties, and supporting fee earners across the team

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ continuous experience in a similar role, with solid drafting skills
  • Experience with shared ownership transactions, including assignments and staircasing
  • Experience with leasehold transactions
  • Confidence using the Land Registry portal and reviewing title documents
  • Experience handling post completion
  • A law degree or equivalent (or appropriate conversion)
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Competent across MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with developers and/or housing associations (traditional RPs or ‘for profit’ providers)
  • Right to buy / right to acquire, lease extensions and related property work
  • Residential acquisitions and disposals
  • Completing SDLT returns

The details:

  • Salary: £30,000
  • Location: London, hybrid (2 to 3 days a week in the office)
  • Experience: a minimum of 12 months’ continuous experience in a similar role is required
  • Interview process: two stages, a first-stage online interview followed by a second-stage in person
