Mental Health Support Worker

Overview

Job Title: Mental Health Support WorkerLocation: Swansea, Wales, UKSalary: £14.24 – £28.48 per hour (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Support trained nurses in delivering direct patient care in a mental health setting
• Observe, monitor, and record patient conditions accurately
• Provide therapeutic support with dignity, compassion, and honesty
• Assist with patient activities and ensure a safe environment
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and incidents
• Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients with mental health needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months recent UK experience in an acute mental health setting
• Practical Manual Handling and BILD Accredited TMVA training
• Right to work in the UK
• UK residency
• Driving licence and own vehicle are essential
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to patient care
