Job Title: Design Technology Teacher

Salary: £36,413 – £50,474 (1.0 FTE)
Contract: Fixed Term (1 year 0.8 FTE)

Are you a confident classroom manager with the ability to engage students across diverse cultural backgrounds?
Are you interested in a 4 day per week teaching role in a diverse and supportive secondary school?
The school is looking to take on a Design Technology Teacher on a 1-year fixed term contract, starting from 1 September 2026, working 4 days per week across the full KS3 and KS4 curriculum. Expertise delivering GCSE Food Technology is essential for this role. A teacher who could offer an additional subject outside of Design and Technology, would be considered for a full-time contract, otherwise this role will be 0.8 FTE.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge in Design and Technology, including Food Technology
- Hold QTS and have a minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Foster positive relationships with your students, setting and maintaining high expectations
- Set and maintain high standards for yourself and your students
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and leadership
- Communicate clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing
- Hold UK Right to Work
