Shop Manager – Newcastle NI (Permanent Full Time)

Salary range: £28,684.50 per annum, paid monthly

SVP employs people to support volunteers in a variety of settings including housing, community care, shops, administration, and other specialist areas.
The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a creative, self‑motivated shop manager who is passionate about customer service and helps make a difference in the local community. In this role you will manage the shop, leading a diverse team, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards across a wide variety of merchandise including furniture, clothing and housewares. This is a permanent full‑time contract (37.5 hours per week) based in Vincent’s Newcastle, Co. Down.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Minimum Leaving Certificate or A Levels education
Experience
- At least 3 years in a customer facing retail environment
- Experience of managing or working with a diverse team of people
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of providing and analysing sales reports
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
- Ability to establish and foster working relationships with many different people across functions and locations
- Competency in IT packages – Excel, Word, EPOS, Microsoft 365
- Positive outlook with resilience and persistence in the face of barriers and setbacks
- Empathy, patience and a well‑developed sense of humor
