Associate Director – Origination

What’s the opportunity?

In this permanent role, you will support the origination and execution of new lending opportunities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to assess deal viability, structure transactions, and guide deals through to completion. You will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality credit papers, financial analysis, and risk assessment while developing long‑term, commercially sustainable relationships with customers and key business introducers.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Originate new lending opportunities and cultivate a strong professional network across customers, key business introducers and professional advisors.
  • Conduct rigorous credit and risk assessments, including cash‑flow modelling, market analysis and customer due diligence.
  • Produce high‑quality credit papers that clearly articulate deal structure, financial analysis, and risk considerations.
  • Lead the execution of transactions including negotiation of LMA‑based facility agreements, review of third‑party reports, and management of completion timelines.
  • Engage effectively with internal teams including Credit, Risk, Legal, and Operations to ensure smooth deal progression.

What You Will Bring

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar lending or development finance role.
  • Strong credit analysis expertise, including covenant evaluation and financial risk assessment.
  • Advanced financial analysis and cash‑flow modelling capability.
  • Experience delivering polished, insightful credit write‑ups.
  • Proven transaction execution capability, including working knowledge of LMA facility agreements and valuation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
  • Ability to work to timelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
