Senior I&C Engineer

Overview

Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer – Seeking expressions of interest for a potential upcoming project with starts expected towards the end of June. This role supports design delivery of instrumentation and control systems for an onshore oil & gas facility. Salary is competitive day rates (outside IR35). Location: Woking, UK – Office-based, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrument lists, specifications, loop diagrams, and cable schedules
• Develop cause-and-effect charts and participate in logic reviews
• Support FAT/SAT activities, providing design clarifications
• Ensure design compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Provide input for hazardous area classification and installation requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues

Must-have Requirements

• Solid experience in instrumentation and control system design for oil & gas
• Understanding of safety instrumented systems and SIL assessments
• Competency with relevant I&C design tools and methodologies

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience delivering projects to Aramco standards (SAES) highly desirable
• Vendor liaison experience for control system packages
