PhysioLine and Blua Clinical Lead

Home based with travel to Manchester and London office sites. Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Fixed Term 1 year maternity cover with a start date of approx. mid October. Competitive Salary and benefits package.

We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary opportunity for a dynamic and highly skilled clinician to assume the role of PhysioLine and Blua MSK Clinical Lead within Bupa Health Clinics. This pivotal position offers the chance to have clinical oversight of our cutting‑edge Physiotherapy virtual triage services and products.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the delivery of effective clinical performance with efficient monitoring of MSK clinicians.
  • Working closely with the Head of MSK to create and deliver high standards of clinical governance, quality initiatives, education, and product development across the Bupa Health Clinics Business.
  • Engaging in quality improvement activities and actively developing processes and initiatives which support clinical and operational effectiveness, clinical safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback, professional development and business success.
  • Understanding and engaging in the delivery of Bupa Health Clinics’ strategy with regards to MSK.
  • Undertaking regular remote virtual triage clinical sessions (1 day) per working week.
  • Developing sustainable CPD and career development opportunities for all MSK clinicians.
  • Providing clinical support to commercial parts of the Business, such as Account Managers, Media teams, Product development teams, Recruitment, Tender and Sales Teams.
  • Supporting MSK clinicians in the workplace, by working with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the clinical workforce needs are clearly considered when decisions involving clinicians are taken.
  • Being a reliable and trusted clinical voice within the Business, to have high personal levels of commitment to business success, clinical excellence, a changemaker mindset and integrity. Leading by example.
  • Being comfortable making independent decisions, escalating where necessary and working on their own initiative.
  • Ensuring that a comprehensive set of clinical policies and procedures are in place.
  • Utilise and develop tools to ensure consistency of product delivery.
  • Ensuring that serious complaints are dealt with promptly and escalated where appropriate.
  • Closely monitoring the MSK customer experience and feedback. Perform deep‑dive analysis and drive customer experience improvement plans within the service line.
  • Deputising for the Head of MSK, where needed and supporting the Head of MSK and Medical Director in driving the Bupa Health Clinic’s strategy.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Physiotherapist and practicing member of the HCPC.
  • Substantial post‑graduate working experience in musculoskeletal medicine.
  • Proven leadership and relationship management experience.
  • Practical experience of developing and enforcing quality standards within a clinical setting including audit experience and risk management.
  • Experience in managing incidents and complaints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong motivating, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong persuasive and credible authority.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning, time management and prioritisation skills.
