Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement and engage employees to meet targets.
• Support the welding team, schedule workload and materials to ensure targets are met.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety processes and procedures.
• Maintain a high-quality standard within the production shed at all times.
• Support the Production Supervisor in day‑to‑day production to ensure on‑time delivery targets.
• Liaise with other teams and departments on a daily basis.
• Apply high standards of 5S.
• Understand Lean principles and methodology.
• Perform any other reasonable duties.

Qualifications

• Significant production experience in a highly pressured, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or people‑management experience preferred.
• Good working knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts and steel processing.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make responsible business decisions.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Motivated self‑starter with eye for detail.
• Drive quality improvements and meet targets.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
