A global banking organisation is seeking a Director of Engineering to join their Corporate Banking division to drive the design, development and delivery of a greenfield inhouse built Virtual Account Management Platform.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a globally distributed function of approx. 150 resources, with the major focus split across the greenfield build, the maintenance and ultimately decommission of the existing legacy 3rd party Oracle Virtual Account Management Solution and managing/enforcing the relationship with Oracle.
• Have full autonomy over the engineering function and implement your own target operating model, identifying and fixing gaps in the current structure to form a fully effective delivery outfit.
• Major delivery considerations will be lead time, software quality, speed to market and forward planning about topics such as AI adoption.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience blending Principal Engineer technical expertise with global management and delivery capabilities, able to still work in the ‘weeds’ whilst also seeing the big picture.
