This Procurement Lead position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, driving commercial efficiencies and building strong supplier partnerships within a dynamic environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Procurement Lead will support strategic decision‑making, lead tendering activities and ensure procurement practices deliver innovation, compliance and long‑term value.
Procurement Lead’s Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, value for money, and compliance with procurement regulations
- Lead end‑to‑end tendering exercises including supplier selection, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract award
- Manage procurement categories through detailed spend analysis, supplier management, and sourcing strategy development
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support operational and strategic procurement objectives
- Oversee supplier performance, contract management, and risk mitigation while promoting sustainable and socially responsible procurement practices
Skills & Experience Required as a Procurement Lead
- Previous experience in a Senior Procurement role within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation, tendering processes, contract management and supplier relationship management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
- CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office systems with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
