Contract: Fixed Term, Full Time 12 months
Working Hours: 37 hours – Monday to Friday
Hybrid Working: We currently operate a hybrid working policy with a mix of working from the office and home.

About the Role
The Assistant Accountant position sits within the Energia Customer Solutions Business unit and reports to a Senior Accountant within the Gross Margin Team (within the Energia Finance Team). This role sits within a fast paced, challenging environment constantly open to change.
The ideal candidate will have strong basic accounts skills. The individual should be motivated and have a continuous improvement approach to their role.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day, heres what your new role would look like:
Preparation of month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, reallocations.
Completion of a wide range of P&L and BS reconciliations, including variance analysis.
Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns and RCT notifications.
Assistance in preparation and reconciliation of regulatory returns.
Assistance in preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Senior Management.
Extraction and analysis of data from our billing system.
Supporting the monthly and annual forecasting processes.
Cash flow analysis & forecasting.
Assist in internal & external audits.
Ad-hoc analysis as required.
About you
Key Criteria What Youll Need
Previous experience working in a finance related discipline.
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Demonstrable experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proven time management and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria – These help decide between those who meet all the above key criteria:
Accounting Technician qualification and/or partial professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Experience using SAP and Workday.
Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
