Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, are roadworthy, and operate within legal requirements including payload, tachograph, etc.
- Maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information are kept up to date.
- Motivate staff, hold regular monthly meetings, and produce minutes of these meetings.
- Instruct drivers on all aspects of the operation and vehicles, including procedures, quality, and security.
- Cover delivery routes during staff holidays and absences, as well as ad hoc volume drops.
- Manage and support an expanding electric vehicle (EV) fleet, contributing to a greener future.
- Organise and adapt to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain a smart personal appearance.
Qualifications
- Hold a current full C1 driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
- Complete a CRB check.
- Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations in relation to the working time directive.
- Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.
- Be team oriented.
- Basic PC skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
