Overview
Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, Communications Development Services. This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. The role focuses on providing technical thought leadership for the Communications Developer Services organization and will be located in the United States with global responsibilities working with sales, product marketing, and product management.
This role advises and delivers strategic outcomes across a wide range of industry sectors and challenging environments and will interact with customer boards, their staff, and AWS leadership. The candidate will cultivate key relationships, interpret industry and regulatory changes, and track industry trends.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver technical workshops that accelerate technology adoption and customer enablement across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and push notification channels
- Create comprehensive best-practices documentation and implementation guides for multi-channel communication strategies
- Direct AWS Solutions Architects, Sales, and Partner teams across multiple engagements within each customer to drive targeted outcomes and consistent advice
- Develop industry-leading customer-facing resources based on projected customer needs and current demand
- Develop and maintain personal relationships with key industry personnel and policymakers
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- 8+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private
- Experience in SAP clean core design concepts, including non-SAP technologies in domains such as Generative/Agentic AI, and data & analytics
