Team Manager NHS Barnsley Talking Therapies

NHS Barnsley Talking Therapies aims to improve access to psychological therapy and treatment for people with mild to moderate mental health problems in Barnsley. We offer a range of therapies at step 2 and step 3 via face‑to‑face, virtual, telephone and computerised modalities, including groups, workshops and individual appointments.

Team Manager – Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, direction, and support to the team.
• Ensure supervision is in place for all staff and oversee workload allocation, staff development, and performance management.
• Ensure safe case management, appropriate referrals, and high‑quality clinical practice.
• Build strong working relationships with primary care, secondary care and community agencies.
• Ensure assessments, interventions and treatment pathways are effective, timely and aligned with Talking Therapies standards.
• Oversee quality, risk, compliance and adherence to Trust policies and national guidance.
• Ensure targets, KPIs and commissioned outcomes are met and continuously improved.
• Drive improvements, ensure cultural competence and maintain minimum quality standards.
