We are one of the leading consultancy providers to the Infrastructure sector, looking to recruit an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for our prestigious infrastructure-based projects.

As an experienced individual you will bring a wealth of experience in cost management, ready to apply your existing knowledge in a new and dynamic environment. We are looking for someone comfortable having challenging conversations with a consultative approach, bringing the best out of their team and client.

Role Responsibilities

  • Establish friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring applications are made correctly and timely.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Preferably MRICS.
  • Experience with NEC3 contracts, specifically Option C – Target Cost.
  • Experience in post‑contract administration.
  • Experience working on Major Programmes and Projects.
  • Experience on Infrastructure projects (Rail, air, marine/ports, utilities or highways).
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
