LOCUM SPECIALTY DOCTOR in EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Fixed term for 12 months

Full time (40 hours per week)

Salary Scale – £64,158 – £99,995 per annum (pro rata as appropriate)

NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Specialty Doctor colleague based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The successful applicant will join a medical staff team of 15 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 3 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 5 Specialty Doctors.

NHS Forth Valley is undergoing a period of dynamic change in relation to the organisation of Emergency & Urgent Care as part of the Scottish Government unscheduled care workstreams.

NHS Forth Valley provides acute services for a population of approximately 310,000 people in Central Scotland. Acute services, emergency and complex care, and planned services are provided for at Forth Valley Royal Hospital (FVRH)

Application Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise
  • Minimum 4 years post registration experience, at least 2 years in Emergency Medicine at Specialist Trainee level or equivalent
  • Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development
  • Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills
