Bank Residential Team Leader at Burleys Wood

Salary: £15.36-£16.00 per hour

Hours: Bank – Zero hours

Shift Times: As/when needed – 12hr shifts (07:45-20:15 or 20:00-08:00)

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Bank Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Burleys Wood, a modern 60 en-suite bedroom designed care home situated in the quiet residential suburb of Furnace Green just outside Crawley town centre.

The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Bank Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
  • Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
  • Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with older people in residential care
  • You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
  • You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
  • Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
