Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Peterborough, Spalding, March, Market Deeping, Bourne, Whittlesey, Yaxley, Ely, Wisbech, King’s Lynn, Huntingdon)
Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 + Overtime

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently and reliably. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll be responsible for both reactive breakdown response and planned maintenance, while also supporting continuous improvement and project work across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding and repairs
- Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance
- Assist with project work, installations, and equipment upgrades
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and engineering best practice
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrically biased or multi‑skilled engineer
- Level 3 engineering qualification (essential)
- Experience within FMCG, food, packaging, or manufacturing environments
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Proactive, reliable, and team‑focused approach
