You know theatres. You know clinics. And you know how to navigate both the NHS and private sector without missing a beat. You’re confident with surgeons, senior clinicians, procurement teams and wider hospital stakeholders, and you’ve built a track record of growing accounts the right way.
Now you want ownership. Real access to decision-makers. Strategic control over key accounts. A territory with clear growth potential. You’re motivated by influence, not just activity.
This Key Account Manager role gives you that scope. You’ll take charge of high-value accounts across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North East, driving growth across NHS and private settings. It’s built for someone who wants visibility, credibility, and the chance to shape results, not just chase them.
Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
Our client is all about saving clinical staff time, whilst simultaneously improving patient outcomes. They’ve got a wide range of products as a business from surgical sealants to ophthalmic instruments, yet the focus for this role will be within Haemostats and sealant. These are products that are designed from years of listening to surgeons and what they really need.
This theme of listening continues into how they treat their people, too. By joining them you join a culture that’s built on celebrating every single person for what they bring to the table. They’re all about supporting everyone to contribute in a way that’s authentic to them and has a real impact, as well as helping people grow in their careers. And now’s a great time to join them as they continue to grow!
Plus, they’re big on giving back through their commitment to supporting their community. Think volunteering and celebration days, charity fundraising, and more.
What will your day to day look like?
You’ll be responsible for growing surgical product sales across your territory by building strong relationships with KOLs, surgeons and key hospital stakeholders. An average day may look like:
- Supporting surgeons and theatre teams with product usage in the OR
- Demonstrating surgical products and technology in theatre settings
- Building relationships with surgeons, pharmacists, purchasing teams and hospital admin stakeholders
- Identifying new customer opportunities and creating tailored solutions
- Managing and growing sales across existing NHS and private sector accounts
- Conducting territory analysis to understand customers, competitors and market trends
- Keeping CRM activity, customer records and pipeline reporting up to date
- Providing tailored training sessions to customers based on their needs
Success in this role means growing revenue across the territory, protecting and developing key accounts, and becoming a trusted partner to surgical teams across NHS and private settings.
This role will suit you if you…
- Ideally have a degree-level qualification in life sciences
- Have 3-5 years’ experience selling into theatres and clinics
- Understand both NHS Trusts and the private sector sales cycle
- Are comfortable working in surgical environments
- Have strong relationships across Scotland, Northern Ireland or the North East
- Can build long-lasting relationships with surgeons, KOLs and hospital stakeholders
- Have strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse territory performance
- Have experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Can travel regularly across the territory, including overnight stays when needed
- Have haemostasis, biosurgery, upper GI, cardiac, colorectal, neuro or urology experience, although this would be a bonus rather than essential
The successful candidate must live within Scotland to be considered.
